Whodathunk the route to Australia from DFW would run right slap-dab through Amarillo. Well...sure nuff it did!
Today was a beautiful day for roadster, top-down travel. The temps ranged from 59 to 66 degrees and the skies were a mix of clouds and sun. While Hwy 287 is not on our list of favorites, we passed the time learning about the "Great Cholesterol Myth" via Audible. The miles flew quickly by and before you know it we were at the famous Big Texan where were overdosed on saturated fat - yum!
