Since we've already shared that we don't care for airplane travel - perhaps it makes sense that we'd turn the journey to the LA departure point into a "road trip!" I mean, "Why not?" We initially planned to take four days to reach San Francisco where we's join Jordan to begin the official journey. That meant day #1 would require some 450 miles from DFW to Santa Rosa, NM. Then we thought, "Wait a minute...we need to head somewhere just outside the metro mess from which we could spring board without battling the morning rush hour traffic. But...a better idea emerged - let's take a leisurely drive to Wichita Falls and see our buddies Steve and Venice! As luck would have it, they were available.
Just got back to home sweet Super 8 home after an awesome day with Steve and Venice. They are such gracious and caring people. The trip is officially off to a splendid start, Thanks for a great day S&V!!
